Ag day

On Tuesday we brought our Ag day animals and pets to school. We had to lead our animals, call them and answer questions the judges asked us. There were ribbons - red, blue, yellow, green and light pink.

You could bring your pet - there were chickens, turtles, cats, fish, guinea pigs and a parrot. If you didn't have an animal or pet you made flower saucers and vegetable animals.Mrs Case had her pet lamb - Lamby Davis Junior, and we were allowed to play with him and feed him his milk. We had a fun parade at the end of the day and trophies.

We told Mrs Case about our pets and she typed it on her computer. We told her what our pet looked like, what it eats, where it sleeps and how we look after our pet. We made a poster about our pet and learned about how to glue our words on straight and chose colours for the pattern in our border.

Granparent's Day

We had a wonderful day sharing stories about toys and games with our Grandparents and families at school.

Thank you to everyone who came along to play marbles, knuckle bones, hula hoops and other games. We have learnt how much fun you can have with hand made toys and games instead of devices.

Old toys and games

We wrote a thank you letter together to Alan at Mystery Creek. He explained how Mystery Creek got its name and how to play the old games - skittles, tug of war, stilts, throw the horse shoe and hoop and stick.

Making slippery squishy delicious fruit kebabs

We are learning about healthy eating at school - 5+ a day and counting how many pieces of fruit or vegetables we eat every day. Fruit and vegetables helps us stay healthy and give us vitamins to grow strong.

Fruit we tried for the first time - mango and rock melon.

Fruit we like - apple, banana, pear, grapes, and pineapple.

Step 1 - cut the fruit into small pieces.

Step 2 - push the fruit onto the kebab stick in a pattern.

Step 3 - count how many pieces of fruit are there on your stick?

Step 4 - enjoy eating your delicious juicy fruit kebab.

Cross Country Race on Wednesday

The Cross Country Race

On your marks
Get set…...GO!!!!

Wind blowing in my hair.
Racers running everywhere.
I huff and puff and puff and huff.
But I keep running, because I’m tough!
Getting tired and getting puffed.
And at the end you’ve had enough!
Now there’s a smile on my face.
I’m so glad I finished the race.
